James LoStracco Jr. is a native Texan who grew up in Nacogdoches. After completing his undergraduate degree at Stephen F. Austin, he attended Texas Tech School of Law on a full scholarship. Jim graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in 1994, received his bar admissions from the State of Texas and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Texas, and returned to his hometown of Nacogdoches to begin practicing law.
In 1996, he started working with Adams, Belanger, and Atherton, P.C., where he became a named partner two years later with the becoming Adams, Belanger, Atherton and LoStracco PC. James remained a member of that firm until 2016, when he formed his own firm named LoStracco Law Firm, PLLC, which he operated until its merger with
LoStracco Deppisch, PLLC.
Throughout his professional career, James has maintained a commitment to improving the
community. He has been involved in civic groups such as the Nacogdoches Jaycee’s, C.A.S.A.
(Court Appointed Special Advocates) in both its formation board and its governing board for
several years. James regularly represents children who are in foster care through C.P.S. as an
Attorney Ad Litem and considers such representation part of his pro-bono gift to the community.
James is a past president of the Nacogdoches Bar Association.
